Can someone from the sciencey side of tumblr please explain this ?
This is called shape memory. It’s made from an alloy of titanium and nickel (I believe it’s called nitinol). It has the ability to “remember” the shape it’s taken.
When cold you can bend it whatever which way, but once you heat it (or in this case put it in what I presume is hot water) it will take the original shape.

but nostrils with a little bit of blush on top is yet another form of stylization.
You just went from apple to oranges. Okay sure, an arch and a nostril is slightly more ‘realistic’ interpretations (as in “yes we have nostrils to breath. thank you I didn’t know that because I am a fish that’s learned how to draw”) but you are still sticking your dicks in the citrus. Just shut up and make your fruit juice already, it’s all the same. If it works for what you are doing, it just works. End of story.
um sorry. i’m drawing what i want. sometimes i use facial features to accentuate my OC’s characteristics. snooty upturned noses and pointy angles for sinister chars. it’s part of my creativity. So…get off it.
